Foil set #2 was a deeper version of #1 with a foiled skeg. They worked well but as I would come to learn about all foils they gathered weeds. The foiled centerboard got ripped off the bottom of the board during a tropical storm in 30-35Kn.
To replace the centerboard I built a slightly deeper diagonally braced front foil 24"W x11"D and modified the skeg by making it a little wider and attaching end plates 14"Wx14"D. Worked OK but not enough lift and too much drag.
